As part of a series of optional lectures by stakeholders for higher education students specializing in “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”, the lecture “Criminology and the Basics of Forensic Examination” was held.

The head of the biological, veterinary and soil science research sector of the laboratory of physical, chemical, biological and molecular genetic research of the National Science Center “Institute of Forensic Expertise named after adv. Prof. M. S. Bokarius” Ph.D. of Vet. Bulavina Victoria Sergiyivna, who gave an optional lecture “Criminology and the Basics of Forensic Examination” for students of higher education.

The lecture was attended by 87 higher education students of the 1st – 3rd courses of the “Pharmacy” educational program and teachers of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Department of General Chemistry and Department of Analytical Chemistry and Analytical Toxicology.

At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Viktoria invited all those who wish to visit with a tour the NSC “IFE named after adv. Prof. M.S. Bokarius”, in particular, the Science and Applied Museum.

The Department of Medicinal Chemistry held a scientific and practical seminar “FORMATION AND PREPARATION FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE QUALIFYING PAPER FOR OBTAINING THE MASTER’S LEVEL OF HIGHER EDUCATION” for students of the 4th and 5th years of higher education.

A seminar was organized by the head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Doctor of Pharm., Professor Lina PEREKHODA, at which the head of the department’s SNT, Doctor of Pharm., Associate Professor Marharyta SULEIMAN spoke about the requirements for qualifying papers, for the preparation of the main material and accompanying documents. Assistant of the department, Candidate of Pharm.Sc. Olena BEVZ provided advice on the design of materials for qualifying papers for defense in the form of presentations, provided the structure of the report, advised readable fonts used in presentations by famous speakers, gave advice on the design of visual material, selection of slide backgrounds, etc.

Master’s students of the department and their supervisors took part in the seminar.

International advanced training (internship) by topic

«Academic integrity»

Ilya Podolsky, associate professor of the institution of higher education of the department of medicinal chemistry, passed the international scientific internship for educators (online) “Academic integrity”. The program was implemented on the basis of the Higher Theological Seminary (SAC) in Oltażew (Poland). The goal of the internship was to get acquainted with European approaches to the issue of scientific plagiarism and the promotion of academic integrity, as well as to improve the qualifications of educators and deepen cooperation in the academic and scientific fields between Ukraine and Poland.

Duration – 180 hours (6 ECTS credits).

As part of a series of optional lectures from stakeholders for students of higher education majoring in “Pharmacy, industrial pharmacy”, an analytical chemist from the pharmaceutical development R&D center of  “Kyivmedpreparat”, which is a partner of “Arterium” Corporation, Mykhailo Timofienka, was invited to give a lecture “Liquid chromatography in analysis medicines”.

The lecture was attended by students of higher education in the 2nd and 3rd courses of the “Pharmacy” educational program, as well as the 3rd and 4th courses of the “Technology of perfumery and cosmetic products” educational program, as well as scientific and pedagogical employees of the structural departments of the National University of Pharmacy.

Departments responsible for organizing a meeting of higher education students of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the lecturer of the enterprise – the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Head of the Department, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Victoria Georgiants, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences Natalia Bevz), Department of Medicinal Chemistry (Head of the Department, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, professor Lina Perekhoda, assistant, candidate of pharmaceutical sciences Olena Bevz) and the department of general chemistry (head of the department, doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, professor Iryna Zhuravel, associate professor, candidate of pharmaceutical sciences Olga Antonenko).

As part of a series of optional lectures from stakeholders for students of higher education majoring in “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”, an analytical chemist from the pharmaceutical development R&D center of “Kyivmedpreparat”, which is a partner of the “Arterium” Corporation, Mykhailo Timofienka, was invited to give a lecture “Spectrophotometry in the analysis of medicinal products”.

The lecture was attended by students of higher education in the 2nd and 3rd years of the “Pharmacy” educational program and teachers of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and the Department of Medicinal Chemistry.

Mr. Mykhailo spoke about the possibilities of using spectrophotometry methods in pharmaceutical analysis. In his report, the lecturer emphasized the possibilities and extraordinary potential of using spectral methods to check and ensure the quality of products and emphasized the breadth of application.

In the second part, the lecturer answered the questions of the students of higher education and scientific and pedagogical staff of the departments.
